Evaluating Design
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the community through teaching. I spent a summer digging into my memories and into my textbooks to create material that would explain the fundamentals of UX research. In return, I also learned about myself - how I love teaching and being in front of the camera!

Course Overview

Foundation
Overview of the 3 phases of research (Generative, Tactical and Evaluative) along with explanation of qualitative vs quantitative research methods with examples.

Usability Testing
Important qualitative method that is often expected of new designers. Covered a few flavors - moderated vs unmoderated, in-depth vs quick guerilla. Equipped students to plan studies, facilitate individual sessions and evaluate results.

A/B Testing
Getting started with a common quantitative testing method including choosing a hypothesis, considering sample size and testing duration and then assessing the significance of the outcomes.

Survey Design
Overview of the types of survey questions available and best practices for using them followed by how to analyze the results.
